Who are the O.G.’s of social media?  (In case you’ve been living with yo head in the sand, O.G. is Original Gangster).  So I want to know, and I want you to tell me.  Being that I have spent a good amount of my time reading stock/software/sports blogs in the past few years I have a few that I will list, but I need more.  Here is where I’m coming from over on cnet (Blog Turns 10) they say:

Barger, a programmer, futurist and James Joyce scholar, is not afraid to say, indeed, he’s the guy who invented the term “Web log.” In December 1997, he created RobotWisdom.com to feature entirely bloggy collections of links to articles about politics, culture, books and technology that he found interesting.

This is not a post to argue who was the first blogger, it is a ridiculous argument and we could even go back and trace routes to bbs and usenet.   But I suppose I’m talking about the ones that have been around (are perhaps still around) and attract mainstream readership.   I started thinking about @maoxian and his oleman posts(very instructive trading posts if you can hang in there and read them all) and how he has been posting stuff since 2001 and probably before that!  So that is what I want to know…who are the O.G.’s, I will try to link to them if people send me some or create a vote up poll.
